Overview

The Seagate Exos 4U74 and 4U100 are purpose-built, ultra-dense SAS-4 JBOD expansion systems designed for data-centric environments at the data centre and edge. Launched in late 2025, these systems set a new standard for enterprise storage density — delivering up to 3.2 petabytes of raw capacity in a single enclosure while significantly reducing power consumption and improving thermal efficiency compared to previous generations.

Powered by Seagate's Mozaic HAMR (Heat-Assisted Magnetic Recording) technology, the Exos 4U74 and 4U100 are built to accommodate the world's highest-capacity hard drives today and tomorrow's innovations as they emerge. With SAS-4 architecture delivering double the throughput of SAS-3 systems, these enclosures keep pace with the most demanding AI, HPC, and unstructured data workloads.
