ThinkAgile HX is Lenovo's range of hyper-converged systems for Nutanix. Each system is based on a Lenovo ThinkSystem server and arrives preloaded with Nutanix software.
Several HX systems form a Nutanix cluster that runs your virtual machines and storage together, managed from Nutanix Prism. There is no separate SAN to buy and manage.

The current range is built on Lenovo ThinkSystem V4 (Intel Xeon 6) and V3 (AMD EPYC 9000) servers.

ThinkAgile HX is Lenovo's range of hyper-converged systems built and preloaded with Nutanix software, used to build a Nutanix cluster.
The software is preloaded, but licences are bought separately. Lenovo recommends buying them with the hardware, and existing Nutanix term licences can also be used.
ThinkAgile HX runs Nutanix AHV, which is included with a Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure licence. VMware ESXi can also be used.
They use different software. HX runs Nutanix, MX runs Microsoft Azure Local, and VX runs VMware vSAN.
Yes. You can run Nutanix AHV on HX and migrate virtual machines from VMware ESXi using Nutanix Move, a free Nutanix tool. See Nutanix solutions.
